Well… it’s hard finding employment. Who’d a thought? I need something part time, in addition to my other part time job that allows for the travel time that comes with being an internationally famous poet.
October is around the corner and I’m super excited to be planning the Texas Grand Slam Poetry Festival. I’m currently writing the rulebook, contracts, spiel and code of honor for it. With some luck, this competition is going to be a BIG and YEARLY event. I am happy to be an integral part of that.
Other than that, I’m gearing up for Fantastic Fest! It’s not really poetry related, but a few members of the community are involved. It’s a film fest and I get to be one of Winnie’s (lovely talented girlfriend of Danny Strack) lieutenant volunteer coordinators. Very excited indeed.
New book is almost done. The beta copies are floating around, and soon a full printing will commence.
